Our cruise stopped in France! On Friday, our 2nd graders traveled to Ellis Island to participate in a simulation as a culmination of their learning about the history of the island. Students traveled by “boat” to see the Statue of Liberty and then go through baggage check, health inspection, currency exchange, and take the naturalization exam. Some travelers even got sent to detainment. Thursday was our annual Father and Son Olympics! Woodlawn boys and their father figures had a blast doing teambuilding and then playing in their Olympic sport.
