Our cruise stopped in France! Teachers and Staff were treated to coffee from Strangely Warm Coffee Company and French pastries from Sugar Blossoms while painting with the one and only Miss Susan from The Red Easel. Check out these amazing artists in our Woodlawn family. Also, staff was treated to a pizza and salad lunch from Dimitri’s pizza kitchen. What a fun port for our Woodlawn family! We love celebrating our amazing staff. #TheWoodlawnWay #70YearsStrong #TheBestisYettoCome

Today our amazing staff took their passport photo and loaded their very own Staff Appreciation Cruise! On day 1, they were sent to the beach…the first port on our weeklong cruise to celebrate Staff Appreciation Week! While at the beach, staff got to escape for a lunch filled with all your favorite beach snacks and a dirty soda tiki stand. Can’t wait to see where our ship takes us next! One thing is for certain, our staff is amazing and they deserve the BEST! #TheWoodlawnWay #70YearsStrong #TheBestisYettoCome

On Friday, our 2nd graders traveled to Ellis Island to participate in a simulation as a culmination of their learning about the history of the island. Students traveled by “boat” to see the Statue of Liberty and then go through baggage check, health inspection, currency exchange, and take the naturalization exam. Some travelers even got sent to detainment. Check out their cool experience and a special thanks to all the volunteers who helped make this experience possible. #TheWoodlawnWay #70YearsStrong #TheBestisYettoCome

Look at these first grade colonists living their best life reenacting events that occurred in the forming of our New Nation! Students had a real tea party and then the Boston Tea Party, created the original Betsy Ross flag, signed the Declaration of Independence, and more! Learning comes to life in 1st grade at Woodlawn! #TheWoodlawnWay #70YearsStrong #TheBestisYettoCome

Thursday was our annual Father and Son Olympics! Woodlawn boys and their father figures had a blast doing teambuilding and then playing in their Olympic sport.
