A Champion for Children
Tonight, we honor a true champion for children, our very own principal, Jon Million, at the 26th annual Judge Clifton M. Kelly Champion for Children Awards Gala.
For the past 34 years, Mr. Million has dedicated his life to shaping the lives of students at Lake Placid Middle School. His impact goes far beyond the classroom; he's known for developing the whole child, building confidence, character, and resilience in every student he meets.
He is a servant leader who has spent thousands of hours coaching, mentoring, and quietly stepping in to help students in need. Whether as a teacher, athletic director, or administrator, he never turns away from a child facing a challenge. Instead, he offers support, provides stability, and ensures every student feels seen, heard, and valued.
His leadership also extends into our community, where he has served on various boards dedicated to expanding opportunities for local youth.
Lake Placid Middle School is incredibly proud of Jon Million and wishes him the best tonight. He is a shining example of what it means to be a true Champion for Children.
