LPM Dress Code 25-26 : Lake Placid Middle School Dress Code 2025โ€“2026 chart outlining acceptable ("Good to Go!") and unacceptable ("Oh No!") clothing items for students. The chart is divided into categories: Tops, Bottoms, Outerwear, Footwear, Accessories, Head Coverings, and Other Prohibited Clothing. Visual examples accompany each category.  Tops: Shirts must cover the belt line. Unacceptable tops include strapless, sleeveless, off-the-shoulder, cold shoulder, low-cut, see-through, mesh, tank-tops, spaghetti straps, and distressed or tight shirts.  Bottoms: Must be worn at the natural waist and past fingertip length, including slits. Leggings must be worn with fingertip-length tops. Distressed, ripped, see-through bottoms and pajama or spandex/bike shorts are not allowed.  Outerwear: Jackets and coats are allowed for warmth. Trench and duster coats are not permitted and cannot be used to cover dress code violations.  Footwear: Shoes are required. Bedroom slippers, Bluetooth shoes, and roller-skate shoes are not allowed.  Accessories: Should be minimal. No sunglasses, chains, hair picks, or chokers. Writing on skin is considered distracting and inappropriate.  Head Coverings: Not allowed unless on scheduled Hat Days with $1 donation. Includes hats, caps, hoodies, and bandanas.  Other Prohibited Clothing: No clothing with disrespectful, gang-related, profane, or suggestive language or graphics.  A note at the bottom states that school administrators have final authority to determine if clothing meets dress code standards. A โ€œHat Days Onlyโ€ image and clothing examples are included for clarity.

Scheduled for Monday, August 4, 2025, from 5:30โ€“6:30 PM. Presentation begins promptly at 5:30 PM in the LPM Gym, followed by a school tour. LPM will is providing a student celebration for those who showed improvment and/or demonstrated proficiency on the recent assessments by allowing them the opportunity to go the gym or commons on Friday 5/23/25. There will be candy, snacks, pop corn, and cotton candy sold at the event. Students will have the opportunity to have recerational time in the gym or go to the commons for a movie. We will recognize students on the A-B Honor Roll for the entire year, 8th grade students who have a cumulative GPA of 4.0 for their entire middle school career, and presenting the Thakkar Awards to two students at each grade level.
