Lake Placid Elementary Title 1 Annual Parent Meeting Please join us on Monday, August 18, 2025 at 2:45pm in the Lake Placid Elementary Media Center.  Come, see, and hear the wonderful things happening in our school and learn more about our Title 1 Program.  The purpose of the meeting is to provide information ot help parents: learn about the goals and purposes of Title I, Review the district's Title I policy, Learn about the standards, curriculum, and assessments, and provide suggestions and ask questions regarding policies, programs, and workshops.  Our school believes that positive parent/family involvement is a key component to reaching the greatest student achievement possible and will encourage involvement in all school activities.  Title 1 funds were used to sponsort this event.

School starts Monday! ๐Ÿ“š Our teachers are ready, classrooms are prepped, and campuses are sparkling. Letโ€™s make this year amazing from day one!

For more information about daycare, you may contact Sun 'n Lake Elementary, Cracker Trail Elementary, or Park Elementary. Information can be found on their websites. These are the only locations that will be hosting summer daycare.

Let's Get Ready! Field Day is coming up on Monday, May 19th, for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students, and on Tuesday, May 20th, for Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade students. Please make sure your student has a change of clothes, a towel, a water bottle, and sunscreen. We are going to have some OUT OF THIS WORLD FUN!!!

4th Graders will take their ELA FAST test on Friday, May 2nd and Monday, May 3rd. (You can check with your teacher so you know which day your specific child will test.) Please make sure your 4th grader is at school by 7:30am. It will also prepare your child to do their best if they have had a good night's sleep, a hearty breakfast, and hear encouraging words that morning!

Lake Placid Elementary: 2025-2026 VPK Registration from 9:00 am - 12:30 pm Monday through Friday! Space is limited! Contact the Early Learning Coalition to apply for a VPK certificate. Full Day is 3 hours of VPK +3.5 hrs extended day. Hours: 7:30 โ€“ 2:00 Free (VPK) + $50 per week (3.5 hrs) (free breakfast and lunch included) Registration is a Multi-Step process 1. Parents obtain a VPK Certificate from the Early Learning Coalition (ELC) at https://familyservices.floridaearlylearning.com/ 2. Parents register at Lake Placid Elementary School. LPMS Cheer Tryouts for incoming 6th graders will be held April 28th-May 1st from 3:45 pm-5:30 pm. They will be held in the gym. Students must have a completed sports physical turned in and uploaded to athletic clearance (you can find info on the LPMS website) BEFORE coming to the first day of tryouts. NO PHYSICAL, NO TRYOUTS! Lake Placid Elementary will be offering VPK next year. There are limited spots, but there are many benefits to attending LPE for VPK. Please see the flyer below for more information. Registration is from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
