Let's Get Ready! Field Day is coming up on Monday, May 19th, for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students, and on Tuesday, May 20th, for Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade students. Please make sure your student has a change of clothes, a towel, a water bottle, and sunscreen. We are going to have some OUT OF THIS WORLD FUN!!!

4th Graders will take their ELA FAST test on Friday, May 2nd and Monday, May 3rd. (You can check with your teacher so you know which day your specific child will test.) Please make sure your 4th grader is at school by 7:30am. It will also prepare your child to do their best if they have had a good night's sleep, a hearty breakfast, and hear encouraging words that morning!

Space is limited! Contact the Early Learning Coalition to apply for a VPK certificate.
Full Day is 3 hours of VPK +3.5 hrs extended day.
Hours: 7:30 โ 2:00
Free (VPK) + $50 per week (3.5 hrs)
(free breakfast and lunch included)
Registration is a Multi-Step process
1. Parents obtain a VPK Certificate from the Early Learning Coalition (ELC) at https://familyservices.floridaearlylearning.com/
2. Parents register at Lake Placid Elementary School.
Parents Must Bring:
-VPK Certificate of Eligibility
-Childโs Birth Certificate
-Proof of Residency
-State of Florida Physical Record
-State of Florida Immunization Record
-Parent Driverโs License
-$75 Registration Fee (enrichment program)

LPMS Cheer Tryouts for incoming 6th graders will be held April 28th-May 1st from 3:45 pm-5:30 pm. They will be held in the gym. Students must have a completed sports physical turned in and uploaded to athletic clearance (you can find info on the LPMS website) BEFORE coming to the first day of tryouts. NO PHYSICAL, NO TRYOUTS! Please make sure when you come you have all of the following items: Current Physical, Florida Certificate of Immunization, Proof of Address (Water Bill, Utility Bill, Mortgage), Child's Certified Birth Certificate, Parent/Guardian Photo ID, and Custody Documents (If applicable)

Papers from Lake Placid Middle School went home last Friday (April 4th) for students to pick electives for next year. Please make sure your child returns this paper, signed by you, by this Friday, April 11th. LPM Guidance Counselors will be at school Friday and will need those papers. Thank you so much!
