Attention students currently in grades 8-11: Do you like dancing? Have you ever wanted to try spinning a flag? If so, please join us for the LPHS Color Guard audition for the 2025-2026 school year. Auditions will be held the week of April 28th - May 1st from 4-6 pm in the LPHS Band Room. If you are interested, please scan the QR code for more information and a brief questionnaire.
Today, the Class of 2025 attended the annual mandatory senior meeting. The Alan Jay Automotive team presented information on Wheels For A’s. Mr. Tunning spoke about finishing strong, graduation requirements, and read the student graduation letter. Project Grad informed students about the cruise and passed out information. Mrs. Irwin spoke to the class about the senior timeline. Lastly, students picked up their cap and gowns. Congratulations Class of 2025 you are almost there.

Congratulations to our Mid Florida Roofing Services, Florida Lakes Spa, and Florida Lakes Surgical ATHLETE OF THE WEEK winner, Justus Sullivan! Justus is a member of our boys weightlifting team here at LPHS. Here is what Coach Del had to say about him, "Justus is an amazing lifter on our team. He works hard in the weight room and in school. Justus’s hard work has earned him an opportunity to lift in the Regional weightlifting meet this week! I couldn’t be more proud of him and everything he’s accomplished this year". Justus also holds a 3.05 GPA in the classroom! Congratulations Justus and good luck today at Regionals!

🐲🎶 Congratulations to Carlos Astorquiza and Alexander Brito for representing LPHS at the State Solo and Ensemble Festival last Tuesday. These two young men are the first LPHS Band students to qualify for State Solo and Ensemble in 12 years! We are proud of them for their musical achievement and the hard work and dedication required to advance to the State level.

We are so excited to continue to add to our new athletic facility. Thank you to Carl Canevari with Heritage Building Solutions and One Dragon Football for making the risers for our new theater chairs. Our sports teams now have a state-of-the- art film room where they can watch film and continue to grow in their sport. 🏈 ⚽️ 🏀 🥎🏐⚾️

‼️It's time for testing. On Tuesday, April 1st, ALL 9th and 10th-grade students will participate in the BEST Writing Assessment. On Tuesday, April 8th, students in Mrs. Grizzell's 2B, 4A, and 5AB and Mrs. Watson's 2A class will participate in the Florida Civics Literacy Exam. Testing will begin promptly at 8:30 AM each day. Please fully charge your Chromebook and know your testing location before arriving on your testing day. You have worked hard to prepare; now it is your time to shine, Dragons!

Here is what Coach Gio had to say," Abril had a dominating defensive performance last Friday against Avon Park. Our defense held Avon Park to 7 points and Abril's constant pressure on their quarterback was a huge reason why. Abril is also excelling in the classroom as she currently holds a 3.85 GPA for the semester". Congratulations, Abril!
