While at LPHS I participated in AVID and Art Club. My favorite teacher from LPHS has been Mrs. McClellan. A special memory I have is when one of my classes had a free day so everyone made pizza waffles. After graduation I plan to go to South Florida State College and then transfer to Palm Beach Atlantic to become an english teacher. Twenty years from now I see myself hopefully a successful english teacher with a big family.

While at LPHS I did 4 years in journalism and 2 years of SGA. My favorite teacher from LPHS will always be Mr. Smith. A special memory I have is being on the homecoming court as Miss SGA with my best friend Avery as Mr SGA. After graduation I plan to travel the world with my brother and sister in law. Twenty years from now I see myself I see myself living in a house somewhere in the mountains of Tennessee.

My freshman and sophomore years I participated in Volleyball, Flag Football, Weightlifting, SGA, Interact, and class meetings. My junior and senior years I participated in Interact and class meetings. My favorite teachers at LPHS have been Ms. Curry and Mr. Ramirez. A special memory from my time at LPHS will be receiving my AA degree. My plans after graduation are to attend the University of Florida starting in the fall. I will be studying pre-med in order to become a doctor. In twenty years I see myself being very successful in my career as a surgeon as well as having a family.

Senior Spotlight Wajdi Haifa While at LPHS I have participated in National Honor Society, Football, and Track and Field. My favorite teachers from LPHS have been Mr. Ramirez and Mrs. McClellan, they’re basically the same person . A special memory I have is just being in AP Seminar with Mrs. Curry it was fun even though it was a lot of writing but Mrs.Curry got us through it. After graduation I plan to get my AA at SFSC and transfer to a larger university to continue my criminal justice journey. Twenty years from now I see myself being a successful man with a wonderful family .

They had an exciting visit to the Sebring Pre-K Center, where they spent the day with 3-5 year old students, as they learned what it is like in the day of a preschool teacher.

The Highlands All-County Band concert will be held on Thursday, April 25 at 7:00 pm in the Alan Jay Wildstein Center for the Performing Arts at South Florida State College. 20 members of the LPHS Concert Band will be performing along with members of the Avon Park High and Sebring High bands in this performance. The program includes patriotic, jazz, film soundtracks and original works for band. Admission is free. We invite you to attend and support our music program in Highlands County!
